Well we all survived the first week of daycare. I think that we fared pretty well actually. After the first day, I didn't cry at all; Dylan only fusses a little in the morning; he naps well; eats like a monster; creates beautiful works of art and is overjoyed to see us at the end of his day. He is also a sponge (as we know) and has added some new tricks to his bag. After 11 months of attempting to teach him, he has picked up waving goodbye in just a few short days. Every afternoon as he leaves the daycare he madly waves as he and daddy hit the road.
The coolest new trick is one that he showed off out of the blue last night. Full on crawl! Not the commando that we are so used to, but a crawl proper. He is still working out the kinks, but here is a brief demo:
