You know that we are knee deep in the Holiday season when Leah, Katie and I get together for our annual Gingerbread decoration-palooza. This year Katie went all out and got both a house and a train. Leah took charge of the very complicated train with the more complicated directions and tiny "helpful" photographs, while Katie and Irene tackled the house. I worked as a swing, contributing to both projects, much to Leah's chagrin. The icing this year was pre-mixed, which we thought was a real blessing. Boy were we wrong. It did not have the cement quality that is so needed and we faced countless structural integrity problems. Next year we will be back to making it ourselves. There was booze, a "christmas movie" (more accurately a movie that takes place during the holidays), survivor and more movie. The boys got to hang out for awhile, which was really fun - Dylan loves all of BJ's cool toys. By the end of the night us ladies were all full of Swiss Chalet, wine, the Christmas cheer and candy, candy and more candy. It is important to taste your work - ask any good chef. Thanks Katie for hosting another successful gingerbread night - I hope the boys appreciate our hard work!!
